Packet Pick-up

1) When is packet pick-up?

  • Early packet pick-up: Friday, July 11, from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM at Harris Bridge Vineyard (22937 Harris Road, Philomath).
Make it a fun night—sign up for camping at Harris Bridge Vineyard, enjoy live music, and take a dip in Mary’s River. You'll wake up right near the starting line!
  • Race-day packet pick-up: Saturday, July 12, starting at 6:00 AM at Harris Bridge Vineyard.

📍 Learn more about Harris Bridge Vineyard: www.harrisbridgevineyard.com or find them on Facebook.

  • Meal & beer tickets for the Rogue Brewery
  • Assorted promotional items

2) How much does registration cost?

  • Early registration: $90 per person (March 25 – May 4, 2025)
  • Regular registration: $100 per person (May 5 – June 20, 2025)
  • Late registration: $120 per person (June 21 – July 4, 2025)

🚨 Registration closes on July 5, 2025 – one week before the event!

Note: Registration is per person, not per team.

The relay has 14 legs, and teams can range from 2 to 7 people, depending on how often each person wants to run. Your entry includes a safe course, timing, finisher medals, socks, and food & drinks at the finish.

3) Do walking teams complete the entire course?

No. Walking teams cover Legs 1-4 and 11-14, totaling 35 miles instead of 69. Most walking teams have four members to complete these eight legs. For more details, check the B2K Course Manual.

4) What is leap-frogging?

Leap-frogging allows a team to finish sooner by having two runners complete two different legs at the same time. To do this, you must get permission from the race director (before the relay or via ham radio operators during the race).

✅ Rules for Leap-Frogging:

  • Teams must record individual leg times on the Scorecard for accurate results.
  • Running teams may leap-frog with permission.
  • Walking teams may NOT leap-frog.
  • Leap-frogging is only allowed starting at Leg 9 to avoid delays on gravel roads and ensure exchanges are staffed.

5) Isn’t leap-frogging unfair?

Not at all! Leap-frogging helps teams that might otherwise struggle to finish within the 13-hour time limit. It doesn’t shorten the course or reduce overall team time—it simply allows more participants to cross the finish line and enjoy the post-race festivities!
